Manufacturing Workmanship Standards

Dear Valued Customer:

• In doing business with Kontron you can rely on our commitment to provide products compliant with the standards of the European Union such as ROHS and others.
• At our customer’s request we follow requirements for customized product designs to meet our customer’s specific market needs.
• Our products are manufactured in accordance with the following  International Standards
  • Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies IPC-A-610 Class 2
  • Acceptability of Printed Boards IPC-A-600 Class 2
  • Acceptability for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2
  • Requirements for Electronic Assemblies IPC J-STD-001 Class 2
  • Rework of Electronic Assemblies IPC-7711 / 7721 Class 2
• These standards apply for all PCBA manufacturing activities processed at Kontron or by subcontractors. Acceptability Workmanship Standards are flown-down to our subcontractors. Subcontractors are committed to the above standards by contract.
• Additionally Kontron’s main production facilities are certified according ISO 14001. Environmental compliance is as well a mandatory criterion during audit, assessment and selection of our suppliers.
• We develop partnerships with our suppliers to maintain compliance of Kontron products at the requested level of workmanship.
