The Open Group SOSA Consortium aims to reduce development and integration costs while accelerating time-tofield. In this white paper, we explore how these objectives align with the evolving architecture trends in VPX technology. Before SOSA, the large number of VPX profiles
raised legitimate questions regarding the interoperability of modules from different vendors or between generations of products. SOSA addresses these concerns by standardizing profiles, ensuring greater compatibility and integration across systems. We also examine how SOSA
promotes cost-effective solutions to meet the complex demands of the aerospace and defense industry. Finally, we present how Kontron’s VPX product roadmap answers these concerns now and in the future.
