Augsburg, Germany, June 11, 2015 - Kontron AG, a leading global provider of Embedded Computer Technology (ECT), has used today’s Annual General Meeting in Augsburg to highlight the company’s performance during 2014, and to lay out its new corporate strategy and objectives.

Having achieved all targets it set itself for 2014 and nearly completed the company’s “New Kontron” cost cutting and efficiency program, CEO Rolf Schwirz took the opportunity to set out his plans for the future to Kontron’s shareholders: “Our ‘New Kontron’ programme is on its final lap and approaching the finish line,” said Schwirz. “But our next race has already begun: it will be all about platform solutions which offer the hardware we already provide to our customers today, but includes in addition integrated system software, so-called middleware. The market for this combined product offering is growing three times faster than the traditional ECT market and will soon be at least twice as big.”

At Kontron’s AGM, the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board were discharged by a large majority of the shareholders. The AGM also approved the creation of a new Authorized Capital. Further, the AGM elected Harald Joachim Joos as new member of the Supervisory Board. About 55 percent of the voting capital was represented at the AGM which took place in Augsburg’s SGL Arena.
