Das Kontron FS-1209 ist ein 5HE hohes, robustes Gehäuse für bis zu sieben 0,8" x 6HE VME Boards (bzw. fünf 1,0" VPX Boards). Es ist in isolierten Racks MIL-S-901 konform und ist für raue Umgebungsbedingungen schock- und vibrationsfest ausgelegt (MIL-STD-810 und MIL-STD-167-1 konform).
